Pricing for the 2015 Jeep Renegade has been announced, and the new SUV will cost $18,990 and up, including destination charges.
At a price point of less than $20,000, the new Renegade costs about as much as your average compact. It also comes with a rather pedestrian engine by Jeep standards, though that can be expected from the company’s entry-level SUV – the Renegade’s powertrain is a 1.4-liter turbo four that makes a creditable 160 horsepower. The base model doesn’t come with any creature comforts either, as it has no air conditioning, power mirrors, or other goodies. These, plus cruise control, Bluetooth support, and a 5-inch UConnect touchscreen, are included in an optional package.
Aside from the base (Sport) trim, the 2015 Jeep Renegade is offered in Latitude, Limited, and Trailhawk trims. The Sport and Latitude trims come with the aforementioned turbo four mated to a six-speed manual transmission, while the Limited and Trailhawk are powered by a 2.4-liter, four-cylinder engine rated at 184 horses and paired with a nine-speed automatic; this powertrain is optional on the Sport and Latitude. Buyers can pay an additional $2,000 to get four-wheel drive on the Sport, Latitude, and Limited, while this feature comes standard on the Trailhawk, which costs $26,990 and up.
Aside from the above optional features, buyers can also add a safety package that comes with forward collision warning, blind spot monitoring, lane departure warning, and park assist. The Latitude and Limited trims come with a towing package as an option, while the top-of-the-line Trailhawk comes with an optional premium package that includes leather seats, automatic climate control, and other premium features found on the Limited.
