Pricing for the two-door 2015 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe is now official, as the German company’s new sports car will be selling at a base price of $120,825 including destination charges. That’s $25,000 more than the vehicle’s four-door sedan equivalent, though still quite affordable compared to the top-of-the-line S65 AMG Coupe, which will be sold at the premium price tag of $231,825.
Like the four-door, the 2015 Mercedes-Benz S500 coupe will come with the exact same powerplant, a muscular 4.7-liter twin turbo V8 engine that is rated at 455 horsepower and 516 lb/ft. torque. The S63 AMG coupe, which costs $161,825, will also come with the sedan version’s engine, a 5.5-liter twin turbo V8 capable of 577 horses and 664 lb/ft. torque. Lastly, the S65 AMG coupe will sell for the aforementioned price of $231,825, and come with a 621-horsepower, 738-lb/ft. V12 engine. The latter option will be available at dealerships in December, right ahead of the Christmas holidays.
Design elements on the new Mercedes-Benz S-Class coupes include a more rakish design and a diamond grille, while features available include an optional Driver’s Assistance Package with adaptive cruise control, cross traffic assist, active steering assist, and a host of other safety features. The AMG coupes, on the other hand, will come with a distinctive twin-blade grille and a redesigned rear bumper, among other distinguishing cues.
